对于我们的第二次天博体育ios采访,我们进行了交谈 弗朗西斯卡Mineo. She shared her experience about consultancy and what it is like being a consultant for Group IFC. Francesca told us about her successes and also challenges that needed to be overcome while working with her clients.

你能简单介绍一下你自己吗?

作为国际金融公司意大利分公司的董事, 国际金融公司集团意大利分公司-总部设在伦敦的国际筹款咨询公司, I am a consultant for nonprofit organizations mainly on strategic communications and fundraising. With both Italian and international network of IFC consultants – based on our flexible business model – we are used to work alone or in teams, 根据客户的需要.

The success of counselling can be measured in many ways, depending on the goal to be achieved. For me being successful 作为顾问 means working with a good team of people – consultants and people from the organization’s staff with whom we work for many months together: a precious time in which conditions can change, 出现问题, motivation may drop so it occurred to me many times – even recently – to be asked for advice from organizations tired and frustrated by the negative effects of Covid-19. 我给, 同时, 支持和专业帮助:我的外部, “中立”的眼光是必要的, 因为客户觉得事情陷入了死胡同.

你想分享一些失败的事情吗?

确定! My failures in counseling – or consultancy not returning the expected results – are always an opportunity to understand or to better address the next client.  虽然不能一概而论, 我想起一个例子, involving an organization where the ‘old’ board liked the idea of having a consultant 但 rejected the fact that a radical change was needed. 我用了很多方法把他们引向不同的方向, 尊重他们的传统和特点, 但 the difficult relation with management and the staff did not help and I failed in facilitating this process. 今天,该组织与一个更大的非政府组织合并,所以这可能是一个“无望”的案例, 但, 作为顾问, 我仍然对自己感到有点失望!

我为中小型非营利组织工作, if consulting with my Italian network of IFC Italy consultants; sometimes I work for international NGOs or UN agency together with IFC UK or other directors.

对我来说,学习的关键词是变化和灵活性.

实际上我还在学习, 因为情况正在好转, from some point of view 但 on the other side I do not feel pandemic is over: we are suffering from effects of restrictions 但 fears, though times  – from job losses to health effects due to illness and lockdowns –  may come in the near future.

我学会了更加灵活, 在我的个人和职业生活中, 勇于接受改变和挑战, 为意想不到的事情做好准备. 我学会了给予事物更多的价值, 要更加注意时间管理, 从一个极速跳到另一个, 每一天.

作为顾问,我学会了如何适应不同组织的需求, 由于各国对危机的反应不同,有些国家的变化很快, 其他人现在也在这么做. 自2020年3月至4月意大利首次封锁以来,我负责通信 & 筹款活动主要在网上进行, 改变与捐赠者的各种关系,无论如何都要成功.
